My life in Mbesa

_ * My life in Mbesa * _ _ *

Chui (Leopard) _ *

was recently the excitement in Mbesa great, for a leopard running through the area and was very
# in the N & 228; he saw the school.

He was entered at night into a trap, escaped and was on Food
search. Thus we

were picked up by a car and were able to watch on the way to the
hunting.

Unfortunately, he escaped again and the shots missed their target.

Now we hope he will soon be caught, so he would not still more tears
animals

* chorus * Here in

Mbesa I go regularly to youth hour in the church.
There was now on the idea that we could sing it again in the church
.

said than done! The next few evenings were filled with rehearsals and the
following Sunday we then really as a choir sang in front of the church
and dancing (which is essential to the choir here).

We Germans were just really confused, as only a completely
us unknown song was sung and then we also improvised a
unknown choreography was performed. However, we have done well and could perform
then diligently practiced the songs
and movements.

* Christmas *

Less exciting, but very nice our Christmas was here in
Mbesa. We have 9 short Zeitler us at 24.12. all in our house
taken to celebrate and it was really a great party,
though very different in Germany, especially since it was my first Christmas without my family
.

The festive meal was rather typical of the country held (rice and potatoes with
sauces and salad), there was a prayer, the reading of
Christmas story and a live nativity scene and of course the presents. The next day we have

then for a short time activist from England
English Christmas Stocking with, Eggs and bacon, homemade
crackers and lots of postcards and are then celebrated in the church
went to the Christmas service.

There were finally released some Christmas songs sung in Swahili
what I had missed during Advent and Christmas very
was again a bit more real.
