publishing text space for applause is a linguistic and typographic issues of life as a budding designer. In poetry and prose texts describing the daily life between Exportiervorgängen sweaty, ragged-crises and high-resolution friendships, through self-reflection, observation and discussions with similar and differing opinions. The content tonality follow the typographical means sensitive. They give the language a face, although not clog the pores. The visual effect of the text is marked by the subtle production that was created very specifically with the "designer-eye" and typographic understanding. The outer, pure appearance is countered by ten different bright color cuts, which at the popular principle of Customizing - orientation - same shape, same content, but individual colors. A directory object of collective thought, full of the spirit, full of head-shaking - a snapshot of the designers existence. The book was selected by the Arts Foundation as one of the "Best German Book 2010" with the Red Dot Award and won a bronze medal at the DDC Deutscher Designer Club in the category zukunf t.
The author Jenna Gesse (born 1984), the book blank space for applause developed as part of their graduate work at University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld in the winter semester 2009/2010. She received a special recognition for this include the Lucky Strike Award 2010.
My comment This bibliophile result of a thesis is a good example of successful self-PR and a slight but noticeable publication between poetry, novel-diary and staging Santander typography. Personally, courageous, persistent, funny, disturbing and provocative, the author describes and presents life and work of young creative before and after the computer between poetry and Dada.
